2004 Mondial du Pinot Noir International Pinot Noir Judging, Switzerland
Wine Enthusiast, Rating: 94 2004 The Noble One
The near-perfect marriage of acidity and fruit stars in this dramatically structured wine.
The flavors, of red cherries and ripe red plums, are pure as can be, and that crispness
boosts and brightens them to starburst quality. Lots of oak adds a delicious finish of toast,
sweet vanilla and spice. Absolutely gorgeous Pinot Noir. S.H. (11/1/2007)
TWO Gold Medals won in Switzerland's Mondial du Pinot Noir competition 2007:
Mondial du Pinot Noir is the only competition in the world devoted solely to Pinot Noir
making this competition the true point of reference in the world of Pinot Noir.
Of 1,050 Pinots submitted, 56 were awarded Gold Medals. Harmonique won 2 Golds.
Burgundy took top honors. A wine from Meursault in Burgundy received the highest
score. Among the Gold were a Nuits Saint Georges Grand Cru, and a Pommard 1er Cru,
and HARMONIQUE's The Noble One and Delicace' 2004.

PinotFile, First Team Pinot Noir All America 2007: 2004 Delicace'
From The Seattle Times, April 19, 2006:
Mendocino County is usually not the first place you think of when hunting for great California pinots. But maybe it should be. At a tasting of eight different Mendo pinots, selected by the Winegrowers Alliance to showcase the diversity and quality of the region, the wines steadily climbed the quality ladder, delivering spicy, nuanced, well-crafted flavors at every step. A stunning Harmonique "Delicace'" ($53) offered the sort of richly detailed, ripe fruits and sweet tannins that most Oregon producers can only dream about.
Harmonique Delicace' 2003 "Appellation Signature" wine of Anderson Valley, CA, December, 2005. Thom Elkjer:
A complex, complete wine that made the most of its dark red fruit by layering in dark spices and assertive oak and bringing the ripe, fresh fruit back into the finish to round out the palate experience.

Volume 5, Issue 16, December 20, 2005
From FORBES, Nick Passmore, September 20, 2005:
A great cool-climate Pinot just exploding with delicious bright, fresh, red-fruit flavors. It needs a few years to properly open up, but will be a truly fine wine when it does.
